- Encourage your child to learn the rules and play within them.
- Discourage unfair play and arguing with officials.
- Help your child to recognise good performance, not just results.
- Never force your child to take part in sports.
- Set a good example by recognising fair play and applauding the good performance of all.
- Never punish or belittle a child for losing or making mistakes.
- Publicly accept officials’ judgements.
- Spectators, including coaching staff and parents, may not enter the field of play at any time. Medical/First Aid personnel for purposes of treating an injured player are exempt from this rule. Infringement of this rule may result in up to a life time ban from all rugby clubs in the UK.
- Support your child’s involvement and help them to enjoy their sport.
- Use correct and proper language at all times.
- Any parent/carer making inappropriate verbal comments to the referee, players or other spectators, including taunting, may be asked to leave the playing arena.
- Any member of the club not conforming to the Codes of Conduct may be subject to disciplinary action.
